Radeon RX 6700 XT vs Radeon RX 6750 XT

Intro

The Radeon RX 6700 XT has core speeds of 2321 MHz on the GPU, and 2000 MHz on the (Unknown) MB of GDDR6 RAM. It features 2560 SPUs along with 160 TAUs and 64 ROPs.

Compare those specs to the Radeon RX 6750 XT, which features GPU clock speed of 2150 MHz, and 12288 MB of GDDR6 RAM set to run at 2250 MHz through a 192-bit bus. It also is made up of 2560 SPUs, 160 Texture Address Units, and 64 ROPs.

Power Usage and Theoretical Benchmarks

Power Consumption (Max TDP)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 230 Watts
Radeon RX 6750 XT 250 Watts
Difference: 20 Watts (9%)

Memory Bandwidth

Theoretically, the Radeon RX 6750 XT should be a small bit faster than the Radeon RX 6700 XT in general. (explain)

Radeon RX 6750 XT 442368 MB/sec
Radeon RX 6700 XT 393216 MB/sec
Difference: 49152 (13%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6700 XT is a little bit (approximately 8%) faster with regards to texture filtering than the Radeon RX 6750 XT. (explain)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 371360 Mtexels/sec
Radeon RX 6750 XT 344000 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 27360 (8%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon RX 6700 XT will be just a bit (approximately 8%) better at full screen anti-aliasing than the Radeon RX 6750 XT, and also should be capable of handling higher resolutions better. (explain)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 148544 Mpixels/sec
Radeon RX 6750 XT 137600 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 10944 (8%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of data (measured in megabytes per second) that can be transferred across the external memory interface in one second. It is calculated by multiplying the bus width by its memory speed. If it uses DDR type memory, the result should be multiplied by 2 again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The higher the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, HDR and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied in one second. This number is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the video card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the graphics card could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is worked out by multiplying the number of ROPs by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also sometimes called Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to reach the max fill rate.
